Helen Kosbar Scholarship: Each year, technical or college students who are connected to the church may get a scholarship from the Helen Kosbar fund.  This year five students received scholarships. A student must apply to be considered. If granted, the student is expected to participate in the presentation ceremony during a worship service.  The students give a short speech to update the congregation about their academic goals and accomplishments.

other Areas of outreach are:

  • Volunteers in Headstart classrooms
  • Spring into Reading- donate and buy books for Head Start children to take home at the end of the school year.
  • Has a Soup Kitchen team once a month
  • Volunteers at Christian Service Center
  • Gathers food for IM Kids Third Meal project
  • Participates in Crop Walk
  • Donates to Living Waters Project to purify water for all nations.

Learn how you can help

Christian Education:

  • September through May there is an education program for children which commences after the passing of the peace of the children’s message in the worship service.
  • October through April there is a monthly Family Night which includes a simple meal before the program.  This year’s program will be the Gospel of Doctor Seuss. Discussion will follow a short film. All ages are welcome.
  • Sponsors interested children to a week at Camp Greenwood.
  • Takes children (and adults) on field trips such as Anderson & Girls, the nature center and bowling.
  • Volunteers help with vacation Bible school in the summer.
