Missions will be collecting small stuffed animals this holiday season for children at risk. Please bring your unwrapped small stuffed animals during the month of December with you to church and place them under the Christmas tree. These little critters will be distributed through out the year to area police, the hospital and Rave. Please let Mission members know if there are other agencies that would benefit from receiving these stuffed animals.

A musical tribute to Veterans was held November 11th with over a hundred present to honor those who make our freedom possible. A special thanks to Mary Williams, Perry Gregory, Carol Campbell, Mary Cusack, the Ionia Community Band, under the direction of Greg Adamus, Ionia VFW Post 12082, and Ionia Young Marines. Veterans, forever remembered.

On behalf of the Mission Committee 47 pumpkin pies were delivered to the Ionia Head Start classrooms for the families of the children who are enrolled in the wonderful pre school program. Our thanks to the congregation for their generous support which allow us to fund local mission projects such as this.

Join us the first Thursday of each month for traveling the world. We are educated and entertained from 10:30 to 11:30 while watching an informative DVD. Come one, come all and enjoy the fellowship with others. Sponsored by the Presbyterians on the Go!

The Ionia Red Hats will hold their Christmas Party in our Church Memorial Room on Friday, December 7 at 11 A.M. They’ve been holding their Christmas party in our church for many years. They said they enjoy our beautiful church and appreciate being able to hold their Christmas gathering here and also enjoy our beautiful decorations.

Our church has been contacted by Associate Pastor, Paul Sischo, of Shiloh Community Church. They have invited us to join them this Christmas season for THE THREE TREES: a Live Nativity event. This Live Nativity event is presented by Shiloh Community Church and will be held at their church campgrounds on December 8th and 9th. Admission is free; however, they will have a donation box for those that wish to contribute something. All ages are welcome to attend. They will be providing a drive thru option, for those who may not be able to get on a wagon, both days from 6:00 PM-6:30 PM. From 6:30 PM-8:30 PM, horse drawn wagons will transport you from site to site through the Christmas story. Refreshments will be served at the end of the ride in their heated campground chapel. The campground address is 1494 Jones Rd., Fenwick, Michigan.

Who is Santa’s favorite singer: Elf-is Presley

You do know what would have happened if it had been three wise WOMEN instead of men, don't you? They would have asked for directions, arrived on time, helped deliver the baby, cleaned the stable, made a casserole, and brought disposable diapers as gifts!

A church was preparing for Christmas services. The pastor decided he wanted a banner made for the entryway and had a parishioner call the sign company. The parishioner told the man on the phone the message he wanted and the dimensions needed for the entryway. The sign came back a few days later... "Unto Mary Jesus was born, six feet long and two feet wide."
